Let’s uncouch 'them' couch potato(es)!©

How do I begin to talk to you about this without telling a bit of something rather personal?*

I am trying to stop some more feelings begging for attention onto this page but ...am not telling!*In tryna to do that,am not gonna only share my(very) personal story but am also gonna share someone’s story which I majorly consider a no- go area (at least not without permission).
Anyway,lemme save u that.

We will work something out,so far the message is passed. I think that I probably may not be the right candidate for this job, because I had my fair share of battles on this too-I mean of what am {about}'yelling' at the mo!. But truth is,I have been there, done that. Asides having to be in situations that got me bending towards a +ive change,I think it is also a conscious thang to wanna turn a new leaf! You bet you don’t want situations getting you to change! A very hard lump to swallow, believe me.For me, being a mum in the making*wink*,I understand that raising a generation of newer (un) couch potatoes lies with me. Majorly as a matter of fact! I talk about my kids& the numerous number I am and will still be responsible for. For the records, I love children and I am in partnership with some non-govermental organisations and in complete partnership with the creator to get as many as possible off the streets and get them doing ok.In this case, how to uncouch those angels and get them relevant more importantly for themselves. I talk aboiut being able to help around the house with chores and all that. A task I consider not only for the gals but for them boiz too(should I be blessed with both sexes, that is)

Time to start: When they are young. Reason: Picture trying to bend a dry fish? U bet it will break instead of bending. My point exactly- u have got to begin early with children. Make it seem like it is absolutely absurd, abnormal and preposterous to not be a part of the day -to -day chores. See,truth is, they are gonna be better for it later in life(if u know what am saying)

....arrgh ,am back. I had to join in some yam pounding spree! Lol! * d price one pays for not wanting to be a couch potato* oops! I was thinking aloud o! (I sincerely hope no one is reading this very line). Now I av lost my butter status. Oh me! This my openness sef?! *giggles* It’s all good though.

...Alright as I was saying, I admit am a bit burra and a blend of pako as well. I guess I learnt to blend quite well with both schools of thoughts. By the way, ur definition of that (in case u understand it) ,may be different from mine. Please feel free to say so. In my own opinion, burra is one major excuse of couch potating!(apologises) . Well not like I understand poverty that much ,at least for a child who was born with a gold(sorry, silver) spoon in her mouth with a name to also back that up, I sure know what I am talking about. But I talk of a state of being thoroughly bred...Luther Vandross’s Dance With My Father Again, filters into my mind as I try to make you get me on this. The part that goes..before life removed all the innocence..’’ Lemme get ''closer'' to you that I might be clearly understood...I guess as time went on, I got to learn that life isn’t a bed of roses and that even the roses therein ,are actually full of thorns& that to get to the roses,I have got to contend with the thorns! I have had my fair share of both ends of life(God has been faithful ,please get it twisted). But again picture this, *incase ur mind works pictures* ...a case of having washing machines run and then when it got ruined and because you can not replace it& you have got to do the hand wash? FEEL ME? You know what? Some couch potatoes can not even use the washing machine! They just need help all the way! Like some fellow in a wheel chair. Am(not) sorry but truth be told! It sucks,Believe me!

Again, for clarity sake, I am not advocating for a ‘get-ready’ for hardship kinda but here is my point exactly.Being a couch potato isn’t a cool idea or an 'in-thing'; at all! You have got to be' useful ' around the house. HOMEMAKER,HOUSEBULIDER,WHATEVER OR WHOEVER YOU ARE, U HAVE GOT TO GET OUT OF THAT COUCH! I MEAN, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE ABLE TO RENDER SOME HELP AROUND THE HOUSE OR COMUNITY THAT YOU LIVE IN.See, it doesn’t make u less a 'babe or 'bloke'. Instead it makes u a 'wholesome babe/bloke' lacking nothing*wink* (by the way, you lack all if you don’t have Christ in you as well) .It is not just being enough being an 'uncouch' potato Another truth is this, couch potatoes don’t like it when people around are like them ,so am so sure that in case u are one*giggling*, you don’t wanna raise kids who are! But as anyone ever heard of anyone giving what he doesn’t have? Hardly! Think about it... *Cackling* picture life’s thorned roses getting some of us uncomfy&ultimately outta d couch?! (lol) Thank God I can laugh about it now,it never really used to be fun.

You know this ‘reminiscence’ brings to mind a song composed few years ago by one of my talented friends(by the way, am so blessed with friends) Thank you all,for being there! *thinking aloud yet again* shhhh...The song reads in part(Shola 'Ayere'){not real name tho}, I know I have your permission to do this )...
''...So I sing for everyday,
So I sing for every night
That you watched over me
...Lord I thank you all the good times,
I thank u for all the bad times,
Even though I really felt the pain ,
Still I bless your name...’’

Kirk Franklin's Thank You...'' Thank you Lord for the pain is gone ,I know it came to make me strong...'' In his usual ajasa,*It came to make me stronger*(lol) I love that guy!

Thank you Lord for getting me out of that couch with those ‘unease’. IT SURE CAME TO MAKE ME STRONG! And I can say with no iota of doubt, I am no couch potato! { work in progress, that is}.
Now people, will you join me in this ‘gentle’ crusade to uncouch the next generation. We wont abuse them,we wont bully them,we wont ‘spoil’ them either...we will just get them useful(just as we are) oouch! If u can say that which is in bracket, then you are no couch potato! Felicitations!
